Your adventure begins in the morning with a hotel pickup in Arusha after breakfast. From there, we set out towards Lake Manyara National Park, a stunning landscape where the Rift Valley escarpment meets the shimmering soda lake. The park is home to a wide variety of wildlife, including large troops of baboons and, if luck is on our side, the elusive tree-climbing lions. Lake Manyara is also a paradise for bird lovers, boasting a remarkable diversity of species. By late afternoon, we head to Karatu for a delightful dinner and an overnight stay at the campsite.
After an early breakfast, we embark on a scenic drive to the world-renowned Serengeti National Park. Along the journey, keep an eye out for the mesmerizing landscapes and the possibility of witnessing the Great Migration—where over a million wildebeest and thousands of zebras move across the plains. In the evening, enjoy a sunset game drive before settling into the campsite for dinner and an overnight stay.
As dawn breaks, we set out on a morning game drive, a prime time to witness predators on the hunt before the sun gets too hot. Throughout the day, we explore the vast Serengeti plains, encountering massive herds of buffalo, elephants, giraffes, and antelopes such as elands, impalas, and Grant’s gazelles. The park is also home to a remarkable concentration of predators, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, and hyenas. For those with a keen eye, the more elusive serval cat and aardwolf may make an appearance. After an exhilarating day of wildlife viewing, we return to the campsite for dinner and rest.
Begin your day with an early morning game drive, followed by a hearty breakfast before heading towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the way, we stop at the Olduvai Gorge, a significant archaeological site where some of the earliest human fossils were discovered. This visit offers a fascinating glimpse into our ancient past. After a picnic lunch, we continue our journey, spotting wildlife en route before reaching the crater rim for an overnight stay at the campsite.
On the final day, we descend 2,000 feet into the Ngorongoro Crater, often referred to as the “Garden of Eden” due to its breathtaking landscape and dense wildlife population. The crater floor is home to a diverse range of animals, including up to 25,000 large mammals. This is one of the best places to spot the endangered black rhino, along with black-maned lions, hippos, and a variety of bird species. After a thrilling day of exploration, we ascend the crater and begin our journey back to Arusha, where your safari adventure concludes.
