The Naro Moru Route is the fastest path for trekkers aiming to reach Point Lenana (4,985m). This scenic and well-maintained trail allows climbers to summit in just four days. Unlike other routes, it features bunkhouses at each campsite, eliminating the need for a tent. The trek begins in Naro Moru town, winding through lush forests, rugged highlands, and the iconic Vertical Bog before reaching Mackinder’s Camp on the Peak Circuit Path.

Your adventure starts with a hotel pick-up and transfer to Naro Moru, arriving in time for lunch. Spend the afternoon preparing gear and taking a guided nature walk to acclimate before the climb. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at a mountain lodge or bunkhouse.
After breakfast, transfer to Naro Moru Park Gate (2,600m) for registration and begin your hike. The route follows a ridge between the Northern and Southern Naro Moru valleys, offering scenic forest views. You will trek to Met Station (3,000m) for dinner and an overnight stay.
Continue your ascent past the radio mast and enter the moorland zone, where you will cross the infamous Vertical Bog. Depending on recent weather, this section can be muddy or firm underfoot. After passing Teleki Valley, reach Mackinders Camp (4,200m) for dinner and rest.
Begin your summit push at 2 AM, trekking under the starlit sky to reach Point Lenana by sunrise (6:30 AM). After enjoying breathtaking panoramic views, descend to Mackinders Camp for breakfast before continuing back to Met Station for an overnight stay.
After breakfast, hike down through the rainforest to Naro Moru Park Gate (2,600m), where your transfer back to Nairobi awaits. Arrive in the afternoon, marking the completion of your Mount Kenya adventure.
