Your adventure begins with pickup from your Nairobi hotel or the airport, followed by a short briefing and group introduction at our office. Depart for Maasai Mara by 8:30 AM, driving along the scenic Great Rift Valley with two key stops—Viewpoint for panoramic vistas and Narok Town for early lunch. Arrive at your camp/lodge in the afternoon, then head out on your first game drive, exploring the rich savannah until sunset. Return for dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast, set out for a full-day game viewing adventure in Maasai Mara. This world-renowned reserve boasts vast savannah grasslands, teeming with diverse wildlife and bird species. Your guide will lead you to prime spots, including the famous Mara River crossing point (July–October migration season). Enjoy a picnic lunch in the wild and continue game viewing until 5:00 PM. Optional activities such as a guided nature walk or visit to a Maasai village are available. Return for dinner and overnight.
Start your morning with an optional visit to a traditional Maasai village for a cultural experience and sunrise views. Return to camp for breakfast, then check out and depart for Lake Nakuru. En route, enjoy an optional stop at Lake Naivasha for a boat ride (at extra cost). On arrival in Nakuru, check into your lodge or hotel. Guests staying within the park will enjoy a brief game drive en route to the lodge.
After breakfast, enjoy a 4-hour game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park, famous for its rhino sanctuary and seasonal flamingo population. Spot endangered species and the remaining members of the Big Five (excluding elephants). Exit the park and drive to Nairobi, where you will board a shuttle to Arusha via the Namanga border. Arrive in Arusha by evening and check in to your hotel (bed & breakfast only).
After breakfast, meet your Tanzanian guide and depart for Lake Manyara, approximately 2.5 hours away. Upon arrival, enjoy lunch and proceed for a game drive. Famous for flamingos and tree-climbing lions, Lake Manyara offers a rich variety of wildlife in a unique groundwater forest setting. After your game drive, head to your camp or lodge for dinner and overnight.
Leave Lake Manyara after breakfast and drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, reaching the crater rim by 10:00 AM. Descend into the crater for a 6-hour game drive with a packed picnic lunch. Spot rare black rhinos, elephants, zebras, buffalo, and possibly lions or leopards. After a picnic at the crater floor or rim, ascend and return to Arusha. Check in at your hotel (bed & breakfast).
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel, followed by your chosen transfer: a shuttle back to Nairobi, a road transfer to Dar es Salaam, or a drop-off at Arusha or Kilimanjaro Airport (airport transfers available at an additional cost). This marks the end of your epic cross-country safari with Javiva Adventures.
