Akagera, in eastern Rwanda, is a savannah park of lakes, wetlands and rolling hills. Thanks to a remarkable restoration effort, lions and rhinos have been brought back, and the park is now home to the Big Five.
It is the perfect contrast to the forests and gorilla trekking of the west.
