Terms of use.
Important information about website enquiries, quotations and travel arrangements.
1. Website information
This website provides general destination information and illustrative itineraries. Wildlife sightings, weather, travel times, seasonal conditions and supplier availability vary. Content should not replace official travel, immigration, health or park guidance.
2. Enquiries are not confirmed bookings
Submitting a booking or contact form is a request for information or a quotation. It does not reserve accommodation, transport, permits or activities and does not confirm a trip. A booking is confirmed only when availability, itinerary, price, payment schedule and applicable terms are agreed in writing by Javiva Adventures.
3. Quotations, prices and inclusions
Prices depend on dates, group size, currency, accommodation, transport, park fees, permits, taxes and supplier terms. The final written quotation will identify included and excluded services, payment deadlines, cancellation terms and any applicable fees. Do not assume an item is included unless the written quotation says so.
4. Payments and fraud prevention
Use only payment details confirmed through an official, independently verified business channel. Ask for clarification if bank or mobile-money instructions change unexpectedly. Keep receipts and written confirmations. No payment should be made to an unverified individual or account.
5. Traveller responsibilities
Travellers are responsible for valid passports, visas, permits or certificates required of them, appropriate travel insurance, disclosing relevant practical needs, following guide and park rules, respecting local communities and arriving at agreed meeting points on time.
6. Health, safety and activities
Safaris, hiking, high-altitude trekking, boating and wildlife activities involve inherent risks. Follow qualified guides, park rules and local authorities. Activity suitability, age limits, permits and medical requirements must be checked before confirmation. Travellers should obtain appropriate insurance and professional health advice.
7. Changes and cancellations
Supplier changes, weather, road conditions, conservation rules and other events may require itinerary adjustments. Applicable change, cancellation, refund and no-show terms will be set out in the confirmed booking documents. Please read them carefully before paying.
8. Third-party suppliers
Some services may be delivered by independent airlines, hotels, transport providers, guides, parks or activity operators. Their own rules and conditions may apply and will be communicated where relevant.
9. Responsible travel
Do not feed or approach wildlife, leave litter, disturb habitats or ignore guide instructions. Respect local customs and obtain consent before photographing people.
10. Website use and intellectual property
Do not misuse the website, attempt unauthorised access or reproduce protected content without permission. Images and logos remain the property of their respective owners or licensors.
11. Liability and applicable law
Nothing in these terms removes rights or responsibilities that cannot legally be excluded. Any limitation of liability, dispute process and applicable-law clause should be reviewed by a qualified Kenyan legal professional and aligned with the final booking contract.
12. Updates
These terms may change. The version applicable to a confirmed trip should be identified in the written booking documents.
