Nyerere National Park, formerly part of the Selous Game Reserve, is one of the largest protected areas in Africa. The Rufiji River runs through it, creating lakes, channels and swamps full of life.
It is wild and uncrowded, and a short flight from Zanzibar or Dar es Salaam.
