Tsavo East is one of the largest parks in Africa. Its elephants are famous for their red colour, from dusting themselves in the park's red soil.
It is the easiest safari to add to a beach holiday: the park is only a few hours from Mombasa and Diani, and you can be back on the coast the same day or the next.
What you'll do in Tsavo East National Park
- Game drives across the vast plains and along the Galana River
- See the Yatta Plateau, one of the longest lava flows in the world
